Last Game Yellow Jackets - 21 Burke Co. - 19
The Thomas County Central Yellow Jackets completed the 1997 Football season as they began, ranked #1 in the state in AAA. The Jackets held off a scrappy Burke County Team when Scott Trammel grabbed an onsides kick attempt with 1 minute left to go in the game. This years' TCC squad enters the record books as the first ever undefeated team in the history of Thomas County Central.

Next Game Yellow Jackets vs. Dacula at the Georgia Dome Corkey Kell Kickoff Classic
The five out of six time-defending state champion Thomas County Central Yellow Jackets will open the 1998 season in the Georgia Dome against Dacula, who moves up to the AAA class from AA. The Flying Falcons (9-4), who are coached by Kevin Maloof, made it to the post-season this year eventually falling to Pepperell in week three of the playoffs.
